About

Welcome! My name is Josh Philip, and I’m a licensed psychologist based in Dallas, Texas. I value helping people develop a deeper understanding of themselves, their experiences, and what makes them who they are. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself, sharing your experiences, and feeling respected and understood throughout the process.

Education & Licensure
PhD in Counseling Psychology from Texas A&M University; Master of Education in Educational Psychology from Texas A&M University; Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

I’ve always been interested in understanding how people experience the world and what shapes who they are. I think it’s important to recognize that there isn’t one right way to think, feel, or navigate life, and I want people to feel understood rather than feel like they need to fit a particular mold. I’m drawn to working with neurodivergent individuals because I value the opportunity to better understand their experiences, recognize their strengths, and help them develop a deeper understanding of themselves.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I believe it’s important to understand each person as an individual rather than viewing them through the lens of a diagnosis or a set of challenges. I try to approach my work with curiosity and an openness to understanding each person’s unique experiences, perspectives, and strengths. My goal is to create a space where people feel comfortable being themselves and can build on their strengths while exploring ways to navigate challenges that fit their needs.
