About

Hello and a warm welcome to you. I am delighted to connect with you. My name is Jorge Partida. I live in the beautiful city of Long Beach, California and feel blessed to be able to walk to the ocean every day accompanied by Thor and Teotl, my two dogs. My first years of life I happily spent by my grandmother's side. She was a Mexican healer and celebrated every person for their unique gifts and talents when many saw outcasts and abnormality. I knew then, I wanted to be like her and psychology became my chosen discipline to help others on their journey towards healing and self-actualization. I believe we all have a unique gift and talent, and it is important to nurture and polish that gift for the benefit of all. As a clinician, I have worked internationally in Liberia, Colombia, Peru, Mexico as well as nationally in Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles. I believe in creating a safe, compassionate and caring client centered environment knowing that we all have a deep wisdom that can resolve any pain and conflict. My goal is to partner with you to help you uncover your inner strengths and gifts so that you can apply them to resolve lives' challenges. I am committed to help you discover your unique gifts and offer you the care necessary to transform pain and suffering into growth opportunities uniquely tailored to your needs.

Education & Licensure
PsyD in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology, Chicago Illinois; Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology from Loyola University, Chicago, Illinois
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My motivation to work with autistic and neurodivergent adults stems from my lifelong commitment to serve those who've been labeled and dismissed by a society that favors a type of intelligence that favors assimilation and linear process. My first clinical experience as a psychology student was working in a grade school for autistic children. I understood then the wide range, resilience and unique perspectives of the autistic community. I strive to provide strength-based approach to clinical care that uplifts and celebrates each person's unique abilities and capacities to improve daily living and relationships. Let's work together to create the life you deserve

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

i prioritize a strength-based, person-centered approach that affirms individual attributes and perspectives. I believe in facilitating an empowering environment where everyone feels seen, supported and understood. I believe everyone possesses unique strengths and capacities that can be harnessed and applied to remove barriers and achieve desired goals. I am an empathic listener and believe in facilitating empowering, co-creative safe space where growth and full self-expression lead to a thriving and rewarding life.
