About
I'm a licensed clinical psychologist (PhD, HSPP) based in Indiana, providing assessments to folks in PSYPACT participating states. I see assessment as a way to explore who you are with the goal of helping you understand yourself and if necessary, better equip you to live the life you want to live. My approach is structured and transparent and my goal always is for you to feel respected and validated through the process. I deeply value neurodivergence and am grateful for my encounters with neurodivergent people of all kinds through my work at Prosper.
I respect different brains as different "operating systems". Too many adults spend years thinking they’re “failing” when the real issue is mismatched environments and expectations. Assessment can name what’s going on, reduce self-blame, and open doors to accommodations and self-advocacy. With a broad educational background and a previous career in information technology, I have experience in multiple areas translating theoretical complexity into practice. I am drawn to the clarity that good assessment can bring--and to help people leverage the strengths that come with their wiring.
I approach assessment through a neurodiversity-affirming lens: I assume difference, not deficit. I start by listening for what already works for you and the contexts where you thrive, then reflect those strengths in the way I interpret and communicate findings. I use plain language, avoid pathologizing, and prioritize accuracy and respect over stereotypes or checklists. You can expect me to consider your lived experience as essential data and to present conclusions that highlight abilities, preferences, and support needs without framing your profile as something to “fix.” As a gay man, I’m intentional about creating space that honors identity and autonomy. I aim to be able to give you useful, validating, feedback, grounded in your strengths.
