About
Hi! I'm so glad you have decided to give therapy a try! My name is Jodie Miller. I currently live in Durango, Colorado where I am licensed. I truly enjoy meeting new people and holding space for them to grow and develop a goal that they can work towards. I can create a space that is safe and supportive of those goals. I believe that every person is unique and I am committed to walking beside you as make the journey to your goals.
I believe that a lot of folks get a late diagnosis in life of being autistic/neurodivergent and that can be truly harmful. Some people go through school or work feeling less then their colleges or their peers. People can form a belief that they are less then. I'm here to support people learning who they are and building their confidence about themselves. There is nothing wrong with being autistic/neurodivergent, and I want people to live their true authentic lives without shame. My hope is to build off your strengths and develop skills that will support your goals. I want to offer a space where you feel seen, validated, and supported.
I believe that building trust and positive regard for all my clients is affirming care that is needed in my practice. I use a strength-based approach to ensure that I am providing care that is empowering to each of my clients. This approach will support the client's ability to use skills they already posses and add additional skills to support their relationships and careers.
