About

Hi! Inviting someone into your most personal space can be intimidating, scary, and daunting, but despite that, here you are! I’m Jessica an LCSW and have been practicing clinical social work for the past 8 years. I utilize CBT, DBT, ACT and some psychodynamic approaches to help you achieve your therapy goals. I also use an open non-judgmental approach to treatment and believe everyone has the ability to make a difference. I will help you to work through issues while identifying your inner strengths to be a happier and healthier version of you by being compassionate and understanding. I look forward to taking the journey of healing with you!

Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

I am deeply motivated to work with adults on the autism spectrum and other neurodivergent individuals because I believe in providing mental health services that recognize and respect each person’s unique way of experiencing, processing, and navigating the world. My personal experience has also given me a meaningful perspective on neurodiversity, as I have a child and a spouse who are neurodivergent. These experiences have increased my understanding of the importance of individualized communication, patience, acceptance, and creating a therapeutic environment where clients feel understood rather than judged or pressured to conform to traditional expectations. Professionally, I am passionate about using my clinical skills to help neurodivergent individuals navigate anxiety, relationships, emotional regulation, self-advocacy, life transitions, and other mental health concerns while honoring their strengths and autonomy. I hope to bring both clinical knowledge and genuine empathy to this population, supporting clients in developing practical coping strategies, building confidence, and creating lives that align with their own goals and values.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I will support neurodivergent individuals by providing an individualized, strengths-based, and person-centered therapeutic approach that recognizes each client’s unique communication style, sensory needs, coping strategies, strengths, and goals. I will begin by developing a strong therapeutic relationship and taking time to understand the client’s lived experience rather than making assumptions based on a diagnosis or neurotype. Drawing from my clinical experience, I would incorporate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and emotional regulation strategies when appropriate. I will work collaboratively with clients to address concerns such as anxiety, depression, executive functioning, emotional regulation, life transitions, self-advocacy, and building healthy boundaries. My goal will be to create a therapeutic environment where clients feel safe, respected, and understood while helping them identify their strengths and develop practical skills that support greater independence, self-confidence, and quality of life. My personal experiences with neurodivergence within my family further reinforce the importance of approaching each client with curiosity, humility, compassion, and respect for their individual identity and autonomy.
