About
Welcome! If you've found your way here, you may be looking for answers about yourself—or wondering whether autism might explain experiences you've had throughout your life. My name is Jessica Anderton, and I am a licensed psychologist in Virginia and Florida as well as through PSYPACT, which allows me to practice in multiple states. I have more than 25 years of experience providing psychological assessment and evaluation, and I'm honored to be part of your journey.
Throughout my career, I've conducted thousands of psychological evaluations for individuals across the lifespan. Again and again, I've met adults who spent years wondering why certain things seemed harder for them than for others, often feeling misunderstood or believing they simply needed to "try harder." Helping people finally make sense of those lifelong experiences is incredibly meaningful to me.
I also enjoy the detective work that comes with assessment. Every person's story is unique, and I value taking the time to understand the whole picture. Sometimes an evaluation confirms autism, sometimes it points to something else, and often it reveals a combination of factors that finally helps explain experiences that have never quite made sense.
I believe that understanding yourself is empowering. My goal is for every evaluation to provide clarity, meaningful insights, and practical recommendations that help you move forward with greater confidence and self-understanding.
Every person brings a unique combination of abilities, perspectives, and experiences. I strive to understand the whole person, and my evaluations are collaborative, compassionate, and individualized. I take the time to listen carefully to your story, recognize your strengths, and understand the challenges you face in the context of your unique life.
My hope is that you'll leave the evaluation feeling heard, respected, and better equipped to understand yourself. Whether you receive an autism diagnosis or not, I want the process to provide valuable insight and a clear path forward.
