About
One of my favorite psychoanalysts is C.G. Jung, and he had stated something that resonated with me - "There is no coming to consciousness without pain". There are still stigmas that exist when it comes to mental health diagnoses. The reality is, introspection is required for growth. I wholeheartedly believe that anyone who is willing to put effort into understanding their current struggles will experience empowerment that will lead to self-confidence and self-acceptance. My experience includes working with the general population, first responders, and military personnel. I also have clinical experience in a correctional setting.
I am motivated to work with neurodivergent adults because of my commitment to serving underserved populations and helping individuals better understand themselves. I believe that a greater self-awareness can foster self-acceptance, self-compassion, and self-love. My goal is to create a supportive, affirming space where neurodivergent individuals feel understood, empowered, and embraced for who they are.
An affirming and strength-based approach to my work is heavily prioritized because my desire to become a psychologist was driven by personal experiences. We all have qualities that are specific to us as individuals such as temperament, personality, how we define values. It's important to embrace wholeheartedly our true agency.
