About
Welcome! I am so glad you are here. My name is Dr. Jennifer Pfeuffer and I am a licensed psychologist living in Southern California. I have had the privilege of working with diverse clients over the last twenty years. My clinical work has included assessment and treatment in a variety of settings including clinics, hospitals, outpatient programs, community settings, and virtual platforms. In all such work, my goal is to create a safe and welcoming space with a nonjudgmental and strength based approach. I truly believe that each person has a unique story and important lived experiences to share. With a collaborative and person-centered lens, I am committed to understanding your unique journey.
My very first job in the field of psychology was working with children diagnosed with autism and their families. I often recall this work as some of the most rewarding. I chose to focus on teenagers diagnosed with autism for my doctoral dissertation and have continued to work with neurodivergent individuals throughout my career. I hold a deep respect for all underserved populations and bring compassion and curiosity into the work that I do. In particularly, with autistic adults, supports and service may have not been an option during their upbringing. My goal is to help clients further understand themselves through the assessment process and continue to feel heard and supported.
I continue to be inspired by others and I aim to create a collaborative environment where all are respected and honored. I believe that everyone possess unique and valuable abilities. Identity is important, and I honor how you show up in the world. Through active listening, validation, curiosity, and empathy, I am committed to helping clients recognize their full potential.
