Treatment Approach

My interest stems from the neurodivergence present within my own family, and I’m motivated to help others on their journey while piecing together the ASD puzzle. With a client-centered approach, I look forward to joining you on your path, and I promise to provide a thorough, accurate assessment to help you gain a deeper understanding of the strengths and assets that make you unique.

In part because of the omnipresence of social media, and in part because we are just human, we all want to feel that we are special in some way and that we matter in the world. However, people can stand out in all kinds of ways, and they do not have to be neurodivergent to be unique in this world. Or, if they are neurodivergent, they do not have to have ASD to be a special person. I already know you are a unique and special person, because everyone is, in their own way. It’s my job to figure out whether that way also includes having ASD because it’s important to document this accurately as you may qualify for accommodations at school or at work. It’s possible that you are neurodivergent but have an issue other than ASD, in which case you will be directed to different resources depending on the issue. It’s important to realize you don’t need to have ASD to be unique and special in the world, although if you want to find out if you do have ASD, I am happy to help you with that process. So, if you want a warm, supportive, emotionally validating, curious, and confident person with you on your assessment path, Dr. Jen looks forward to meeting you and accompanying you with your questions.
