About

Hi, I’m Jennifer D. Moore, LCSW, a Black female therapist based in Texas, where I’m licensed to provide care across the state. My work is guided by compassion, authenticity, and a deep respect for the many layers that make each person who they are. I take a multifaceted approach to therapy—combining evidence-based practices with a culturally responsive, queer-welcoming, and neurodiversity-affirming lens.As both a clinician and a person with intersecting identities, I understand how important it is to have spaces where you can show up as your full self. I strive to create that space for my clients—one built on connection, curiosity, and genuine care. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, identity exploration, or major life transitions, my goal is to help you feel seen, supported, and empowered in your own healing journey.

Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My passion for working with autistic and neurodivergent clients grew from both personal and professional experiences. Having a loved one who is neurodivergent helped me see the world through a more compassionate, inclusive lens and ultimately inspired my path into social work. Over time, that connection deepened my commitment to creating spaces where neurodivergent people feel understood, respected, and supported in ways that honor their individuality—not just their diagnoses.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

My approach to therapy centers on recognizing and building upon each individual’s strengths, rather than focusing solely on challenges or labels. I believe that every person carries innate resilience and wisdom, and my role is to help them reconnect with those parts of themselves. Guided by compassion and affirmation, I support clients in exploring their identities, navigating anxiety or mood concerns, and embracing neurodivergence as a meaningful part of who they are. Whether I’m working with adults, parents, or young people, my goal is to create a therapeutic space where clients can grow in confidence, self-acceptance, and connection—ultimately realizing their full potential both within and beyond the therapy room.
