About

My assessment style combines clinical expertise with warmth, curiosity, and genuine respect for each person's unique experiences. I strive to create a comfortable environment where you can speak openly and feel understood. The evaluation process is individualized and collaborative, focused on gaining a clear understanding of your lifelong patterns, strengths, challenges, and ways of engaging with the world. My goal is to provide meaningful insights that help you better understand yourself, make sense of past experiences, and identify strategies and supports that can enhance your well-being, relationships, and success in daily life.

Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My interest in this area grew from seeing how many people reached adulthood without a clear understanding of why certain experiences felt more demanding for them than for others. I was drawn to helping individuals make sense of lifelong patterns, recognize abilities that may have been overlooked, and gain a deeper appreciation of how they engage with the world. I value creating a space where people feel heard, respected, and understood, while providing insights that can support greater self-awareness, confidence, and fulfillment in their personal and professional lives.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I approach these assessments through a neurodiversity-affirming, culturally responsive, and strength-based lens. I recognize that many autistic adults—particularly Black adults, women, and other historically underidentified groups—have spent years masking, adapting, and navigating environments that may not have recognized their neurodevelopmental differences. My evaluations explore both support needs and strengths, including resilience, creativity, focused interests, problem-solving abilities, and adaptive coping strategies, while carefully considering the influence of culture, race, trauma, and life experiences on presentation. I strive to create a collaborative assessment process that emphasizes understanding rather than pathologizing, helping clients gain insight into their unique neurocognitive profile and identify supports that promote well-being, authenticity, and success.
