About
Hello and welcome! I'm a bilingual/bicultural (Spanish-speaking) psychologist with extensive experience working with diverse multicultural populations. I specialize in psychological and neuropsychological testing for young children, adolescents, and adults, and provide psychotherapy for relationship issues, family functioning, parenting, sexuality, trauma, anxiety, depression, and ADHD. As a psychologist, I believe in building a trusting partnership and creating a safe, comfortable space for self-exploration. Your involvement in therapy can be a way to explore ways to improve the quality of your life and your relationships. I believe transformation is possible through understanding, healing, support, and connectedness." I specialize in neuropsychological assessment (testing) of children, adolescents, and adults challenged with a myriad of behavioral difficulties, neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., Autism, ADHD, Learning disabilities, etc.). Providing diagnostic clarification and appropriate treatment or service can be life-changing for many individuals riddled with questions about their overall functioning. I integrate a psychodynamic approach with cognitive behavioral therapy and often incorporate psychological assessment (testing) to maximize treatment. Assessment is available for evaluating ADHD, memory, executive functions, intellectual and academic functioning, learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and personality.
My passion for working with neurodivergent individuals, particularly those on the autism spectrum, stems from both personal and professional experiences that have deeply shaped who I am. Having a brother and a nephew on the spectrum has given me an intimate understanding of the beauty, creativity, and uniqueness that characterize neurodiversity. Their perspectives and ways of engaging with the world continually remind me of the value of seeing each person as an individual, not as a diagnosis.
Over the past decade, I have had the privilege of working with neurodivergent children, adolescents, and adults in various clinical and educational settings. Each interaction has reinforced my belief in the importance of compassionate, person-centered assessment and treatment. I take great care to ensure that the testing process is not only informative but also affirming, helping clients better understand themselves and fostering self-acceptance rather than judgment. My goal as a psychologist is to provide assessments and feedback that celebrate neurodiversity while identifying supports that help individuals thrive. I am motivated by the opportunity to empower clients, allowing each individual to describe and name their experiences, recognize their strengths, and feel seen for who they truly are. Working with diverse populations brings me deep joy and a sense of purpose, and I am committed to continuing this work with empathy, curiosity, and respect.
