About
Hello and welcome! I’m Dr. Jacqueline Sherman, a licensed psychologist with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals through life’s challenges, transitions, and opportunities for growth. I currently live in Hawaiʻi and am licensed in Florida. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with people from a wide range of backgrounds and helping them navigate concerns related to trauma, anxiety, relationships, self-worth, and major life changes.I believe psychologists should provide a space where you can show up as your whole self—without judgment and without having to pretend that everything is okay. My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. I see my role as walking alongside you, helping you better understand yourself, recognize your strengths, and develop the insight needed to create meaningful change.
My interest in working with autistic and neurodivergent clients comes from a genuine desire to understand people for who they are, rather than asking them to fit into a particular mold. I’m fascinated by the different ways people experience the world, communicate, connect with others, and make sense of their experiences. I also recognize that many individuals have spent years feeling misunderstood or wondering why certain things seem easier for others. I desire for every person I work with to feel respected, understood, and comfortable being themselves. Even if I’m only one small part of their larger journey, I hope our time together leaves them with a little more clarity, self-understanding, and confidence about where they go from here.
I believe people are more than their challenges or a diagnosis. I approach my work with curiosity, compassion, and an appreciation for each person’s unique strengths, perspectives, and way of experiencing the world. My goal is to help people recognize what makes them uniquely themselves—not what makes them different—and leave with a greater sense of clarity, self-understanding, and confidence. I want every person I encounter to feel seen, respected, and affirmed exactly as they are.
