About

I am an LCSW from the University of Utah, and have worked in many areas: domestic violence, substance abuse, youth, LGBTQ+, older adults, depression, anxiety, autism, etc. I am very passionate, first and foremost, about helping people improve their lives. I'm also here to listen; you'd be surprised what big a difference just that can make. I love having as much variety as possible, implementing meditations, gratitude journaling, DBT skills, art, etc. At the same time, I was taught in my training to always let the client be the expert of their own life, and that has helped me increase in my respect and skills to converse with, understand, and work with others to help build something truly greatthat we can all be happy with and proud of. My favorite modalities include CBT, solution-focused therapy, DBT, motivational interviewing, etc., and my style is very conversational and friendly. Indeed, I try to foster a very warm and welcoming environment in therapy. I am also quite goal-oriented, focusing on weekly, monthly, yearly, and beyond goals. My hope is always that a client leaves a session simply feeling better than before they came into the session.

Education & Licensure
Masters in Social work from the University of Utah; Bachelors in Psychology from Utah Valley University
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

Having worked with autistic teenagers in my last job, it left me with a real hunger to continue that work with adults. This is because I have found people on the spectrum to be amazing in their interests, insights, etc. It's just that they need help with things like social skills, emotional regulation, etc., and that's where I come in! I am indeed very passionate about helping people improve their lives, and I have found that this is a very fulfilling way to do that.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I love that this company has a strengths-based perspective, and I'm excited to contribute to that! Regardless of any other demographic information, circumstances, etc., people do their best when their strengths are built upon with encouragement, affirmation, compassion, etc., and that is a real strength that I bring to the table, and one that has helped many of my clients.
