Hello! My name is Irena Tsapelas and I am a clinical psychologist based in New Jersey. I completed my doctoral degree at Stony Brook University (Long Island, NY) in 2011. I look forward to partnering with you in this journey and working together to help you achieve your goals!

What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

I find it very rewarding to work with autistic adults and I have a deep respect for neurodiversity. I am inspired by the resilience and strengths of this community and my goal is to help clients cope with challenges in a way that can improve their daily lives and help them thrive.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I provide a warm, empathetic and supportive space where you can feel safe expressing and processing your emotions
