About
Hello and welcome! I’m Dr. Hayley Sanchez, and I’m so glad you’re here. I live in California and am licensed to practice here as well. My work as a clinical psychologist is driven by a deep belief in the power of compassion, clarity, and connection — especially for autistic and neurodivergent adults who are seeking deeper understanding and affirmation of their experiences. I strive to create a space where you feel respected, supported, and truly heard. You’re the expert on your own life, and my role is to partner with you — helping you build on your strengths, deepen your self understanding, and navigate your journey with confidence and care.
I approach assessments with a strengths-based, affirming, and compassionate lens. As a neurodivergent individual myself, I understand firsthand the unique perspectives and abilities that neurodivergent minds bring, as well as the challenges that can arise in environments that aren’t always accommodating. During assessments, I focus on creating a clear, supportive, and collaborative process where your experiences are fully understood and respected. My goal is to provide comprehensive, individualized feedback that highlights your strengths, clarifies areas of difficulty, and equips you with information that empowers you to advocate for yourself in school, work, or daily life. Every assessment is an opportunity to honor your identity while providing guidance that is practical, meaningful, and affirming.
What drew me to specialize in supporting autistic and neurodivergent clients is a profound respect for the diversity of human minds and the strength that lives within neurodivergent experiences. Many people come to this work after years of feeling misunderstood, overlooked, or without language to describe why they experience the world the way they do — and that gap is something I want to help close. I’m inspired by the resilience and unique perspectives of the neurodivergent community, and I’m committed to offering care that honors your identity, your voice, and your lived experience. My hope as a clinician is to journey with you toward deeper clarity and self advocacy — not just diagnosis, but meaningful self understanding and empowerment.
