Hannah Mira
About
Greetings! My name is Hannah Mira (she/her) and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), a Certified Personality Disorder Provider (C-PD) and Clinical Certified Trauma Professional (CCTP). I am also a late-diagnosed autistic person, in addition to having ADHD. I am licensed in the state of California and have lived here my whole life. As a therapist, I believe being a neurodivergent individual allows me to bring not only my professional knowledge but also my lived experience to my clinical relationship with my clients.
As an autistic person and a therapist, I am very fortunate to be able to work with neurodivergent clients who are searching for a therapist who can understand and resonate with their lived experience. I am also the parent of a neurodivergent child and the daughter of a neurodivergent parent which allows me to better support my clients who are searching to explore the interconnectedness of generational neurodiversity. As a therapist, I believe it is my privilege and blessing to come alongside fellow late-diagnosed neurodivergent individuals who want to better understand themselves, the systems they exist in, and how their neurodivergence shows up in all aspects of their lives. In addition to my personal and professional experience with neurodivergence, I am specialize in other areas that frequently impact neurodivergent individuals including childhood trauma, toxic family systems, religious trauma, substance use disorders, and co-occurring mental health disorders.
A mentor of mine once told me 'if you know someone with autism, you know one person with autism.' Everyones neurodiversity journey is unique to them and I look forward to coming alongside you to support you as yours unfurls. My therapeutic approach is direct but highly empathic, supportive and gently challenging, humorous and client-centered. Whether you are looking for a brief solution-focused approach or a longer therapeutic healing journey I look forward to getting to know you and helping you feel safe, seen, and supported. I am a proud and vocal ally of the LGBTQIA+ community as well as a committee member at the Reclamation Collective, which supports individuals who are healing from religious and spiritual abuse.
