About
Hello! I'm very glad you're here. My name is Hannah Burford and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of California. I currently live in San Diego, California, where I moved in 2023 from Boston, Massachusetts. I am passionate about supporting neurodivergent folks on their healing journeys. As a clinician, I believe in creating a warm, safe, and compassionate space where you are truly heard and understood. My goal is to work with you as you discover your strengths as we partner together to solve life's challenges. I believe that every journey is one of a kind and I am committed to individualizing care so that it is as unique as you are.
My motivation for working with neurodivergent adults comes from my own personal journey as well as a deep respect and passion for creating a therapeutic space where each individual is valued as well as empowered. I am inspired by the uniqueness and strength of our neurodivergent community and my goal is to provide the support necessary that honors each individual's experience and builds on their strengths while navigating individual challenges and developing skills to cope with these challenges and lead to a life of not only surviving but thriving. My therapeutic space is collaborative and safe, and together we can work towards a life where you truly are yourself and feel that it is completely worth living.
As a queer, neurodivergent therapist, I aim to create a space that is warm, safe, affirming, and strengths-based in order to ensure that you feel seen and heard, valued and empowered. I believe that each person in this world possesses unique abilities and strengths that can be tapped into to navigate life's challenge and achieve your goals. I am an active listener who validates my clients and creates a safe space where each person can show up as their authentic selves.
