About
Hello! I'm Haley, a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) who's licensed and based in Colorado. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed and based in Colorado. My work as a therapist is grounded in empathy, respect, and taking the time to understand the many things that shape who you are. I believe therapy can be a place to get curious about yourself and explore the ways you think, communicate, and connect with the world around you. I approach our work together with acceptance and nonjudgment, creating a place where you can take up space and bring all parts of yourself; the things that feel heavy and the things that bring you joy, curiosity, or meaning. I want to understand your perspective and the things that matter to you while honoring your experiences and all the ways you show up as an individual. My goal is that our work together supports you in feeling more at home with yourself, building affirming coping strategies, and developing a deeper understanding of your experiences while honoring the person you already are.
My path toward working with autistic and neurodivergent adults has been shaped by nearly five years of clinical work in both community-based and virtual mental health settings. For four years, I supported adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, many of whom were autistic, and this work showed me how important it is for people to have services that intentionally highlight their individual experiences, support areas, and sense of belonging. More recently, my virtual private practice work has allowed me to focus more specifically on working with neurodivergent adults, including many autistic clients and individuals with a variety of neurodivergent identities. Across these settings, I have seen how meaningful it can be when people find care that feels affirming, accessible, and aligned with who they are.I am also greatly aware of the barriers many neurodivergent adults face when searching for support that truly fits, especially those who are diagnosed later in life or are beginning to understand themselves through a neurodivergent lens. My background in health equity, health promotion, and health disparities elimination research continues to guide my work with the neurodivergent community. I also bring my own lived experience as a neurodivergent individual, which has given me a personal understanding of how important it can be to receive care that honors your experiences rather than asking you to change who you are.
I am deeply committed to providing strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming and queer-affirming care that honors the values and beliefs you bring with you. I believe therapy can be a place to notice what is already working, recognize the strategies you have developed through life, and build upon the things that currently feel supportive for you. In our work together, collaboration is incredibly important. I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including values-based, strengths-focused, trauma-informed, and social justice-informed practices, while intentionally tailoring our work to your goals, preferences, and individual experiences. As a queer and neurodivergent therapist, I understand the importance of care that makes room for the many identities and ways of being that shape who we are. My goal is to support you in exploring new possibilities and developing tools that feel authentic to your life.
