About
Hello! I am so glad you’re here. I’m Dr. Greta, a clinical psychologist who is licensed in Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, PsyPact-participating states, and Washington state who is passionate about providing comprehensive psychological assessments to those who would like a better understand of how their mind works, insight into their communication style, and recommendations for meaningful change in multiple areas of their lives. I believe that assessment can be therapeutic and a helpful roadmap to comprehensive treatment. I aim to partner with you on helping you think about your mind, thoughts, feelings, and way of relating to others. I look forward to working with you and so happy you’ve taken this crucial step to meaningful change.
My motivation for working with adults with autism and other forms of neurodivergence stems from a profound respect for different types of thinking, communication styles, and ways of perceiving oneself and the world. I believe we need a wide range of perspectives, creative ways of thinking, and mindsets to solve complex problems in our human condition, and I so value the unique and beautiful contributions of adults (of all ages!) who exist on the autism spectrum. I am also deeply passionate about providing support and facilitating understanding/insight to those who are seeking to know more about themselves.
I prioritize an affirming approach to my clinical work that is especially attentive to the strengths of the clients with whom I am fortunate to work. I am concerned with listening to people deeply, to understand the possible stumbling blocks they are facing and consider, with them, how to help them use their strengths and internal resources to overcome these blocks. My goal, first and foremost, is to help people feel safe and understood within the context of the assessment relationship.
