About
Hello, and welcome! I’m Grace, a queer, and neurodivergent mental health therapist based in Florida. I’m passionate about creating affirming spaces where people feel seen, understood, and empowered to explore their identities, navigate relationships, and engage in personal growth. My work is grounded in a deep commitment to social justice and an understanding of how our intersecting identities and lived experiences shape the ways we move through the world. I take a humanistic, strengths-based, and holistic approach to therapy, believing that you bring your own wisdom, resilience, and capacity for growth into the therapeutic space. I value genuine connection, authenticity, and transparency, and strive to create a collaborative environment where you feel comfortable showing up as your full self. My goal is to meet you where you are, honor your individual experiences, and support you in building a life and relationships that feel meaningful and authentic to you.
My interest in working with autistic and neurodivergent clients comes from both my personal and professional understanding of the ways neurodivergence shapes our identities, relationships, and experiences of the world. I am particularly passionate about supporting neurodivergent adults, whose experiences and challenges can look very different from those encountered during earlier developmental stages. Adulthood often brings unique questions around identity, relationships, self-advocacy, masking, self-esteem, and navigating environments that aren't always designed to accommodate neurodivergent ways of thinking and being.
As an african-american, queer, and neurodivergent therapist, I also recognize the importance of understanding neurodivergence within the broader context of intersectional identities and lived experiences. I am passionate about creating affirming spaces where you don't feel pressured to change who you are to fit societal expectations, but instead feel empowered to better understand yourself, recognize your strengths, and develop ways of navigating the world that honor your needs. My goal is to approach our work with curiosity, collaboration, and deep respect for neurodiversity, supporting you in building meaningful relationships and lives that feel authentic to you.
I approach therapy from the belief that you bring your own strengths, wisdom, and resilience into the therapeutic space. Rather than defining people by their challenges or focusing solely on what needs to change, I prioritize recognizing and building upon the qualities, experiences, and resources that already exist within each individual. I believe growth happens when we feel understood, affirmed, and empowered to show up authentically as ourselves.
I recognize the importance of honoring the intersection of our identities and lived experiences, particularly when navigating systems and environments that may not always affirm or accommodate who we are. I strive to create a space where your differences are celebrated rather than pathologized, and where you are comfortable to explore your identities without judgment or pressure to conform. I aim to help clients deepen understanding of themselves, recognize their inherent strengths, and build lives and relationships that align with their values and authentic selves.
