About

Hello and welcome to our journey.  My name is Giuseppe Sottile. I live in New York and I am a licensed psychologist in NY and CT. Clients often describe me as empathetic, motivating, and practical. I work to create a space where you feel understood, respected, and encouraged while also helping you make meaningful progress toward your goals. Whether you are navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, personal challenges, or simply wanting to feel more balanced and fulfilled, we will work together to identify what is getting in the way and build strategies that help you feel both good and confident in your daily life.My goal is to help you not only overcome difficulties, but also strengthen your sense of purpose, resilience, and overall well-being.

Education & Licensure
PhD in Clinical Psychology from Walden University; MA in Psychology from Pace University; MBA in Healthcare Managment from AIU; Applied Behavior Analysis Re-specialization from Chicago School of Professional Psychology; BA in Psychology from Pace University.
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

I was drawn to working with autistic and neurodivergent clients because I value seeing people as individuals rather than through the lens of a diagnosis. Over the years, I have seen how many neurodivergent individuals have felt misunderstood, overlooked, or pressured to fit into expectations that do not reflect who they truly are. I wanted to create a space where clients feel accepted, respected, and supported in understanding themselves more fully.I enjoy helping clients recognize their strengths while also developing practical strategies to navigate challenges in relationships, work, school, emotions, and daily life. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and focused on helping each person build confidence, self-awareness, and a greater sense of balance and well-being.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

Your expertise and comfortable reaching out. Keep the focus on them: what they can expect, how you show up, and how you'll support their journey toward well-being.....Here is my experience....15 years as a psychologist who uses every tool and theoretical orientation to help the patient.   I am goal focused and client centered.  I provide empathy,  and motivation to accomplish being good and feeling good. With 15 years of experience as a psychologist, I believe therapy should feel both supportive and empowering. My approach is client-centered, goal-focused, and tailored to the unique needs of each person I work with. I draw from a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches and tools because no two individuals are the same, and effective care should reflect that.
