About
Hello and welcome! My name is Genevieve Bartuski, and I am a licensed psychologist in Virginia and Texas. My work is rooted in transparency, genuine understanding, and seeing each client as a whole person, not a diagnosis or a set of symptoms. I believe the foundation of meaningful treatment is the relationship itself, so I make it a priority to build a space where you feel comfortable, understood, and truly at ease. My goal is simple: for you to leave each session feeling heard, seen, and with a clearer sense of yourself.
Throughout my career, I've worked with many clients who struggled for years ecause autism was missed or never considered. Seeing the impact of that has driven my passion for this work. People with neurodivergent minds experience and perceive the world in ways that are genuinely different, not deficient. Yet, so many have internalized the message that they are broken or flawed simply because they don't fit society's narrow expectations. That isn't true, and I want my clients to know it. Being different isn't something to fix. It's something to understand.
My aim is for every client to feel truly heard and seen. I welcome questions and take the time to explain as much as needed, so that clients leave each session with a deeper understanding of themselves, not just a diagnosis. While a diagnosis like autism can be a meaningful part of someone's story, I never reduce a person to a label. Instead, I explore what it means to them, honoring what makes each person unique.
