Welcome! I am Dr. Genesia Foster, a CA licensed clinical psychologist and retired military service member. I currently live and work in Southern California. I am passionate about helping people better understand themselves, recognize their strengths, and feel supported throughout the process. I believe that seeking greater understanding of yourself can be both vulnerable and empowering, and I strive to create a space where each person feels heard, respected, and valued.
My passion for working with this population stems from both personal and professional experiences, specifically, loved ones who are neurodivergent. I am continuously inspired by the display of resilience of those who have learned to navigate a world that may not always recognize or understand their unique ways of thinking, communicating, and connecting. My hope is that you leave the assessment process with greater clarity, meaningful answers, and, most importantly, a deeper understanding and appreciation for yourself.
My approach is rooted in strength-based, affirming care, and a genuine respect for the diversity of all human experiences. I believe that each person brings a unique combination of strengths, identities, cultural experiences, perspectives, and ways of engaging with the world. Rather than viewing differences as deficits, I strive to understand the whole person and recognize the strengths, resilience, and lived experiences that shape who you are. I am committed to creating an inclusive and culturally responsive space where all forms of human diversity are respected, valued, and affirmed.
