Faith Rose
About
Hello there! I am glad you have stumbled upon this space. My name is Faith Rose. I am a licensed clinical social worker living in Illinois. I have been working in the intensive outpatient and community mental health setting for the past few years and am SO excited that there is a space specifically for us neurodivergent folks. As a clincian, I believe in using authenticity and warmth to create a compassionate space for you to grow. I hope that we can collaborate together and identify your needs in this moment and the next.
Through working in the mental health field in rural Illinois, resources of adults who are autistic/audhd are scarce. I am honored and excited to be a part of this space and will respect individual perspectives. I resonate with the resilience and difficulties that neurodivergent individuals have faced and hope to accompany you on your journey to feeling like your most authentic self.
In the therapy setting, you are the driver and I am the passenger. You have control over the direction, speed, and intensity of the drive. My job is to hold the map and offer you directions and support in the process. During the process, I use evidence based practices such as dialectal behavioral therapy (balancing acceptance and change), cognitive behavioral therapy (sorting through irrational thoughts) and internal family systems (identifying the different parts of ourselves) to help you reach your goals. I will listen and support you in the way that you need to be seen.
