About

I’m glad you found your way here. I’m Dr. Emma Mansour (she/her), a licensed psychologist since 2013 and the founder of Life Matters Counseling and Psychological Services in Farmington. Much of my work centers on adults, especially women, who have spent years wondering why life feels harder for them than it seems to for everyone else. I approach evaluations and therapy with honesty, warmth, and a little humor, because figuring yourself out shouldn’t feel like a cold, clinical process.

Education & Licensure
PhD in Counseling Psychology from University of Utah; Master's in Psychology from American University, Washington DC; Bachelor's in Psychology, Brigham Young University, Utah
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

I kept hearing the same question in my office from smart, capable women: “Is something wrong with me?” Often the answer was ADHD/Autism that had been missed for decades, or the way perimenopause can amplify attention, mood, and memory struggles that were always there under the surface. Helping someone finally make sense of their own story, and stop blaming themselves for it, is some of the most meaningful work I do.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I see ADHD/Autsim and neurodivergence as differences in how a brain is wired, not character flaws. In an evaluation, I look at the whole person: your history, your strengths, the workarounds you’ve built, and where things feel harder than they should. My goal is for you to leave feeling understood rather than labeled, with practical next steps that fit the way your mind actually works.
