About

Hello! I am so glad you are here! My name is Emily Humerick, and I am licensed in Tennessee. The world we live in can sometimes feel overwhelming, isolating, and hard to know which path to take. I love working with clients to feel peace with their past, excitement for their present, and hopeful for their future. I would love to partner with you on your life's journey.

Education & Licensure
Bachelor of Arts in History from Belmont University, Master of Arts in Teaching from Belmont Univeristy, Master of Arts Counseling from Trevecca Nazarene University.
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My motivation for working with autistic adults comes from a personal connection with the neurodivergent population. Through watching members of my own family navigate the world through a neurodivergent lens I have seen the importance for a space where every person can completely be themseleves without fear of judgment. It is my hope to be that space for my clients.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I believe each client should feel seen and valued for who they are and the unique strengths they possess. I want clients to know therapy is a safe place to explore who they are and feel validated in their feelings. Each client has a story that is completely their own and I would love to partner with them where they are and walk alongside them as they get where they want to be.
