About
Hello, and welcome! I'm glad you're here. I'm a counseling psychologist with more than 10 years of experience providing therapy and psychological assessment. Although my training is broad, I have dedicated much of my career to working with individuals from underserved communities and those whose identities have been marginalized or stigmatized. I have particular expertise supporting LGBTQ+ adults, including transgender and nonbinary individuals, and I strive to create a space where every client feels respected, understood, and able to show up as their authentic self.
I believe that both therapy and assessment have the potential to be deeply meaningful experiences. My role is not simply to gather information or provide answers, but to work collaboratively with you to better understand your experiences, recognize your strengths, and help you leave with greater clarity and self-understanding.
Throughout my career, I've been especially drawn to working with people who have felt misunderstood or who have spent years trying to make sense of experiences that didn't seem to fit the expectations of those around them. I find it deeply meaningful to walk alongside clients as they develop a fuller understanding of who they are, how they experience the world, and what has shaped their journey.
That passion is what led me to adult autism assessment. Many people seek an evaluation after years of wondering why they have always felt different, worked harder to navigate social situations, or masked parts of themselves to fit in. My goal is to offer a thoughtful, affirming process where your experiences are met with curiosity rather than assumptions. Whether or not an autism diagnosis is ultimately the right fit, I hope you leave with a greater sense of clarity, self-compassion, and confidence in understanding yourself.
My work is grounded in a strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming perspective. I believe that each person brings unique abilities, values, and ways of experiencing the world, and my role is to understand those qualities within the context of your life rather than viewing them through a deficit-based lens. Throughout the assessment process, I prioritize listening carefully, asking thoughtful questions, and creating an environment where you feel safe to be yourself. Together, we'll explore both your strengths and the challenges you've encountered, making sense of your experiences in a way that feels meaningful and useful to you. Clients can expect to be treated with respect, dignity, and genuine curiosity throughout the process. My hope is that you'll leave the assessment feeling heard, validated, and equipped with insights that foster greater self-understanding and help guide your next steps.
