Elizabeth Morrison
About
Welcome! I’m Elizabeth Morrison, a licensed mental health counselor with nearly a decade of clinical experience supporting individuals across a wide range of needs and settings. My passion lies in providing affirming, strengths-based, and trauma-informed care, particularly for neurodivergent and disabled clients.
I’ve worked in private practice, community-based organizations, forensic mental health, and inpatient facilities. I specialize in helping clients explore their identities, develop coping skills, and work through challenges related to mental health, life transitions, and unmasking.I also bring a unique lens to therapy through my lived commitment to disability justice and my background in writing, media, and advocacy. I use narrative-informed approaches to foster empowering, culturally responsive therapeutic relationships that honor each client’s individuality and strengths.
I take a strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming approach that centers your lived experience, not just your challenges. Rather than focusing on what needs to be “fixed,” I help you uncover and build on the abilities, insights, and resilience you already have. Whether we’re exploring identity, navigating unmasking, or working through complex mental health concerns, I aim to create a space where your story is honored and your goals are led by your values. My clinical foundation is rooted in trauma-informed, individualized care, and I integrate psychoeducation, collaboration, and narrative techniques to support personal growth and self-advocacy. With nearly a decade of experience across clinical and community settings—and a strong commitment to disability justice—I work to ensure that our work together is affirming, empowering, and grounded in respect for who you are.
