About

Hello, my name is Elizabeth Gluff. I have been a social worker for 27 years and have experience working with adults with disabilities, addiction, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and ADHD. I have worked as a therapist in community based mental health and taught anger and mood management group therapy. I spend a lot of time working with clients with chronic health issues and help clients to navigate dealing with insurance companies and their providers as I have chronic health conditions myself. I believe in using a strengths-based approach and being eclectic in my therapy style, using CBT, DBT, EMDR, and solution focused therapies.

Education & Licensure
BA in Urban and Regional Planning from University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, Masters of Social Work from University of Maryland, currently working on a PhD in Psychology at Walden University with an emphasis in Behavioral Health Leadership
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My motivation for working with autistic and neurodivergent adults is my family. My mother, brother, sister, brother-in-law, and three nieces have ADHD. I love to help clients overcome their challenges to be the best they can be focusing on their strengths.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I believe everyone has the capacity to be resilient and overcome their challenges. I enjoy problem solving by thinking outside the box and utilize the strengths of my clients to achieve their goals. Every session with each client is individualized to the needs and pressing issues the client is facing that day while still reviewing our overall goals for therapy
