About
Hi there! I’m Liz, a licensed psychologist in Colorado with over a decade of experience working with autistic and neurodivergent individuals. I specialize in autism evaluations in adulthood, particularly where there are co-occurring mental health concerns. Having grown up in a rural community, I am excited to expand access to care through telehealth at Prosper. Whether or not a diagnosis is made, my goal is for you to leave this process feeling seen and understood, with meaningful insight into your personal story that supports you in building a path forward.
I was first drawn to specializing in autism during college, when I recognized how much we don’t know about autism and how often people are misunderstood as a result. Over the past decade, it’s been meaningful to witness growing awareness and cultural shifts through the neurodiversity movement. At the same time, gaps in support and stigma continue to exist. I firmly believe that neurodivergent minds belong. I am honored to support you in this part of your journey.
I view autism through a neurodiversity-affirming lens, recognizing that differences in thinking can look like strengths or challenges depending on how well a person’s environment matches their thinking style. I also center an identity-sensitive approach that considers your cultural context, environment, and lived experiences. As a queer, neurodivergent individual, I understand firsthand how important the assessment process can be in fostering self-understanding and living authentically.
