About
Hello, my name is Lisa Garcia, and I am a dedicated therapist committed to supporting individuals on their therapeutic journey toward better mental health and well-being. I currently live in Illinois and am licensed in North Carolina and pending licensure in Illinois. With experience in working with diverse individuals, I strive to create a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space for my clients. My approach is collaborative, tailored to each person's unique needs, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I believe that everyone has the inner strength to overcome challenges, and I am here to support and guide you every step of the way.
I chose to work with autistic/neurodivergent clients because I am deeply passionate about promoting understanding, acceptance, and support for neurodiversity. I believe that every individual's unique way of experiencing the world offers valuable strengths and perspectives. My goal is to create a safe, empowering space where neurodivergent clients can thrive, express themselves authentically, and develop strategies that honor their individuality. I am committed to learning and growing alongside my clients, advocating for inclusive practices, and helping them build confidence and resilience in a society that often misunderstands neurodiversity.
As a dedicated therapist, I focus on fostering self-awareness and personal growth by emphasizing the importance of reckoning and building upon each individual's unique strengths. My approach centers on compassion, affirmation, and a committed partnership with my clients, guiding them through their journey of self-discovery. I believe in creating a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore their challenges and harness their inner resilience to realize their full potential. By emphasizing these core values, I aim to empower clients to embrace their authentic selves and cultivate lasting, meaningful change.
