About
Hello and welcome! My name is Dr. Elan Lepovic. I am licensed in the state of Texas and a PSYPACT member, meaning I can see people in 40+ states. I am a former software developer turned clinical psychologist because I wanted to do work that integrates head and heart. My work combines psychological science and evidence-based practice with the art of deep listening. I strive to create a space for you to share of yourself and explore your experience. My goal is to help you discover your authentic self and the barriers to your authenticity. My training includes work at various college counseling centers, community mental health, the VA, and an LGBTQ+ counseling center.
As a neurodiverse person who worked in the tech industry and spends time in communities where neurodiversity is common (gamers, programmers, improvisers etc), I am aware of how mental health providers need to work with the particular strengths and challenges in neurodiverse communities. I was drawn to the field of psychology in part because I wanted to find ways to frame psychological services for members of my communities. Through my work with autistic adults across different settings, I witnessed a clear need for more approachable, accurate, and meaningful autism assessment. I’m grateful to now contribute to meeting that need.
In my assessment work, I focus on identifying a client's core strengths and integrating them into a comprehensive understanding of their neurodivergence. I approach every client with affirming curiosity and respect, ensuring the evaluation process highlights not only challenges but also the skills and perspectives that contribute to their success. This strengths-forward framework allows clients to leave with a clearer and more empowered sense of who they are.
