Hello! My name is Eddy Merritt. I currently live in New York City and am licensed in New York. I have comprehensive experience working with neurodivergent adolescents and adults, in community clinic, private practice, and school settings. I hope to provide affirming care that will help my clients get the diagnosis and accommodations that they need. Outside of work, I am passionate about crafting, comics, and spending time with his cat.

PhD in Psychology from the University at Albany; Masters in Psychology from Stony Brook University.

What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My motivation for working with autistic adults stems from over twenty years working with the neurodivergent community in some form. I want to help provide affirmation and care for clients who often go under/undiagnosed.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I prioritize identifying strengths through my assessment that can help the client achieve their therapeutic goals. I want my clients to feel empowered and understood during their assessment experience.
