About

Hello! I'm so glad that you have found your way to Prosper and to my home page. I am currently licensed as a Psychologist in Maryland, but previously practiced in several states and overseas with the US military during my long career. I have been committed to the practice of child, adolescent, and family psychology, with an emphasis on psychological assessment. Why? Because I have seen how important, and even life changing, a good assessment can be in helping folks more deeply understand themselves, their unique strengths and challenges, and new pathways forward. Understanding differences in how you think, learn, communicate, and process information might be some of the most important information you can ever have! I am committed to making this a positive, accepting, comforting process in which we can explore the questions you have and come up with useful answers and recommendations together.

Education & Licensure
I have Ph.D. in Psychology form Utah State University; M.Ed. in Educational Psychology from the University of Hawaii; B.S. in Education from Pennsylvania State University.
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

I started out on this journey of working with neurodivergent children when my own kids and family members were diagnosed. Out of love and support for them, I "grew-up" in the field as it developed, and now find myself a passionate supporter of neurodivergent and LBGTQ adults, who deserve the careful affirming support and psychological access that is often difficult to find or afford.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

My goal to approach our work together with a curiosity that seeks to understand your strengths and challenges, while providing you with a safe and comforting space to explore what has been going on in your life and how autism might be playing an important role. We might even have fun together getting the job done. I hope you won't hesitate too much, but instead trust the goodwill of this process, and jump in! I'd love to work with you.
