About
I’m Donna Davis, a licensed clinician in the State of Michigan. Hello and welcome! I understand that reaching out for support can be an important step. My goal is to provide a comfortable, supportive, and judgment-free space where you can talk openly, feel heard and be yourself. Know that I will meet you where you are without judgment, help you recognize the strengths you already have, and support you in developing new ways to navigate life’s challenges. My approach is centered on listening and understanding your experiences. Your needs and goals are uniquely yours, and I’m committed to providing care that respects and reflects who you are. I believe therapy works best when we work together. When you are ready to take the next step, I would be honored to support you along the way.
My belief is that there is no single “right” way to think, communicate, connect, or experience the world. I believe everyone deserves a space where they can show up as themselves, feel understood, and know that their voice and experiences matter. In neurodiversity therapy, we can explore these experiences while also recognizing your strengths, interests, perspectives, and ways of connecting with the world. Rather than focusing on changing who you are, my goal is to understand what works for you and support you in developing tools and strategies that fit your individual needs. Most importantly, to create a space to work together to where you feel there is collaboration, respect, and empowerment.
I approach each client with compassion, respect, and a genuine commitment to understanding who they are—not just the challenges they may be facing. I believe every person brings their own strengths, abilities, perspectives, and lived experiences into the therapy space, and those strengths can become powerful resources for growth and change. I will take the time to listen, understand your experiences, and validate what you are feeling. Together, we can recognize the strengths you already possess, explore what works best for you, and build on those strengths as you navigate challenges and work toward goals that are meaningful to you. Above all, I want you to know that your voice matters. Our work will be a partnership grounded in compassion, acceptance, and respect for the person you are.
