About

Hello and welcome! My name is Dianna Moses, and I am a licensed psychologist in Missouri. I also hold an active PSYPACT license which allows me to provide services to clients in many other states. I have over 22 years of experience in assessment with individuals of all ages and interventions with adolescents and adults.  Assessment is my favorite thing to do because I’m naturally curious about people, and I love watching, listening, and discovering all of the ways each person is unique, their goals and strengths, and putting together pieces of their story to help them understand themselves and how to move forward in a more constructive way. As we work together, I see you as the expert on yourself, and myself as an objective expert helper to come alongside you. Together, we will organize and make sense of your experiences to arrive at solutions: answers to the questions you have and information you can use.  I create a space that’s accepting and empathic so that you feel comfortable being yourself.  When our assessment is complete, I’m known for explaining my findings in a way that you can understand and utilize practically.

Education & Licensure

Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

Since majoring in psychology I first became interested in neurodivergence as it presents in AD/HD, and then throughout my years of clinical experience I encountered the frequent overlap in characteristics of AD/HD and autism and became fascinated by the various manifestations of neurodivergence in general and autism in particular; as well as the unique ways that autism presented in adults that I worked with.  I enjoy assessment of neurodivergence in adults particularly because I enjoy adults’ ability to articulate their experiences, the complexity and richness of their history, and the need to look past the creative efforts necessary to function as an autistic person in this world to see what is actually happening and the person’s actual needs. Also, I know that many adults have been seeking answers for a long time and/or have just now been able to obtain an assessment;  and therefore I’m honored to be a part of helping to provide answers that have been long sought.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

In the assessment process I honor your intersecting identities, as well as encourage you to present naturally and meet sensory needs where possible within the bounds of keeping our time together efficient and respectful.  I already see you as a competent and adaptive person because I know that as you have grown and matured in life, you have developed many unique and intelligent ways of moving through a world that is not always friendly to your needs.  So as part of our assessment process, I strive to identify your strengths and efforts, and help you to see them too.  Additionally, in addition to making a diagnosis, I believe it’s also important to educate you so that you can self advocate and have confidence to seek environments and processes that meet your needs where possible.
