About
Hi my name is Diana Murray, I reside I Camden , South Carolina I am licensed in New jersey and South Carolina
My interest in working with autistic and neurodivergent clients is deeply personal. I had a brother who was neurodivergent, and growing up with him gave me firsthand insight into the unique experiences, strengths, challenges, and needs of neurodivergent individuals and their families. That experience helped me develop greater empathy, patience, and appreciation for the importance of understanding each person as an individual rather than defining them by a diagnosis.
Professionally, I want to build on that personal connection by creating a supportive, affirming environment where autistic and neurodivergent clients feel understood, respected, and empowered. I am particularly passionate about helping clients develop emotional regulation, self-advocacy, coping skills, healthy relationships, and confidence while recognizing and honoring their individual strengths.
My approach to working with autistic and neurodivergent clients is rooted in compassion, affirming, and a deep belief in each individual's strengths and potential. Having a brother who was neurodivergent, I developed an early understanding of the importance of seeing the whole person rather than focusing primarily on challenges or areas of difference.
I believe therapy should help clients recognize, understand, and build upon the strengths they already possess. Rather than viewing neurodivergence through a deficit-based lens, I strive to create a safe and affirming space where clients can explore who they are, identify what works best for them, develop greater self-understanding, and build confidence in their abilities.
My goal is not to change who a client is, but to support them in becoming more connected to themselves and their strengths, developing skills that align with their individual needs and goals, and recognizing their capacity to thrive. I am committed to honoring each client's unique way of experiencing and navigating the world while supporting them as they realize their full potential.
