About
Hi and Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Desiree Williams. I provide a warm, structured, therapeutic environment creating a "safe space" for my clients to authentically be themselves while addressing their challenges. I specialize in working with clients and couples who struggle socially and emotionally. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I particularly enjoy working with anxious clients, providing them with ways to manage their stress and thoughts using cognitive restructuring, behavioral calming strategies, mindfulness, and meditation. My goal is to partner with you, helping you find resilience and uncover strengths as we work together through life’s challenges. Every person’s journey is unique, and I’m committed to offering care that is as individual as you are.
My motivation for working with autistic adults comes from a genuine respect for neurodiversity and a deep belief that everyone deserves to feel understood, valued, and supported for who they are. I’ve always been inspired by the unique perspectives, strengths, and resilience within the autistic community, and I strive to create a space where clients can show up as their authentic selves without judgment.I’m not here to “change” who you are—I’m here to support you in navigating challenges in a way that aligns with your needs and goals. Together, we can build on your strengths, develop practical tools for everyday life, and strengthen your relationships in ways that feel meaningful to you.My goal is for you to feel heard, respected, and empowered as we work toward creating a life where you can truly thrive.
I take an affirming, strengths-based approach because I believe everyone deserves to feel seen, valued, and supported for who they are. Each client brings their own strengths and abilities, and I focus on helping them recognize and use those strengths to navigate challenges and work toward their goals.I make it a priority to truly listen and understand my clients’ experiences, while creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where they can express themselves openly. My goal is for each person to feel heard, validated, and empowered throughout the process.
