Intro
Hello. My name is Demetria Deary but most people just call me D. I'm sorry that life has brought you to a place where you felt the need to reach out for support but I'm happy to be here to give you that support. I am straight outta Compton (born and raised, but currently living in NorCal), and am licensed in California and Colorado. As a Black, queer, neurodivergent femme, I bring my whole self into this work—identity, intuition, and intention. I’m not here to “fix” people—I help them reconnect to the power they already have.I specialize in working with folx who live at the intersections: BIPOC, LGBTQ+, Autistic, ADHD and are navigating systems not built for us. Whether you’re unpacking identity-based trauma, navigating burnout, or just trying to stay grounded in a world that’s constantly shifting, I offer a space that is affirming, real, and centered on your liberation.
Honestly—because I am one. I know what it’s like to grow up feeling misunderstood, overlooked, or labeled as “too much” or “not enough.” I’ve lived the masking, the burnout, the constant decoding of environments not made for us. So I don’t just understand my clients—I share space with them. My work is about offering the kind of support I needed and rarely saw: culturally grounded, affirming, and radically accepting.
Clients say they feel seen with me—not just their symptoms, but their stories. I use approaches that support growth and authenticity, from trauma-informed care and culturally responsive strategies to harm reduction and somatic awareness. And if you’re the type who’s tired of code-switching, masking, or constantly over-explaining— my therapy space is built with you in mind.
