About
I’m a licensed psychologist with more than 20 years of experience. I have worked extensively in leadership roles in academic medical centers, the Veterans Affairs healthcare system, and integrated behavioral health settings, often with patients confronting serious medical conditions, aging, loss, and changes in identity.
Most of my work has focused on groups who have usually faced misunderstanding and discrimination - LGBTQ+, persons of color, and the neurodivergent. My goal is to meet the person where they are and to co-create the future they want through teaching, coaching, and providing the resources they need.
Much of my work focuses on adults dealing with the psychological impact of chronic illness, cancer care, long-term recovery, and health-related issues. I also has specialized experience in sexual health and in working with individuals involved in kink, polyamory, and consensual non monogamous relationships. Many of the patients I work with are men, LGBTQ+ or not, navigating changes that affect their bodies, relationships, and sense of self.
My background in behavioral medicine and health psychology informs a clinically rigorous approach to complex medical and relational challenges. My work is further influenced by Jungian and Buddhist perspectives, which shape my understanding of suffering, meaning, and resilience. I provide individual therapy and psychological assessments for adults in Houston and across Texas, both in person and via telehealth.
