About

Hello! I’m glad you’re here. I am Darlene Ayub, I live in Arizona, and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Arizona. I am passionate about the work I do as a clinician, partnering with and supporting individuals to build upon their own unique qualities towards growth, greater well-being, and resilience in a safe, open, and non-judgmental environment.

Education & Licensure
Master of Science in Counseling Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy from University of Phoenix, California.
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

I am committed to continuing my professional development working with autistic adults, in an environment where every individual feels valued and respected for their individuality. My passion is providing strength-based support that empowers individuality, build upon unique strengths, and resilience, while developing the skills to manage daily challenges and thrive in life.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

My approach is an integrative affirming and strength-based collaboration which include Person Centered/Rogerian Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness. Carl Rogers (Rogers, 1986a) said “that when clients receive congruence, unconditional positive regard, and empathy, their self-concepts become more positive and realistic, and they become more self-expressive and self-directed, they become more open and freer in their experiencing.” I believe that each individual thrives in a safe, open, and non-judgmental environment to express their personal goals and to nourish the strengths they possess to achieve them.
