About

Are you feeling overwhelmed by the struggles in your life? Are there relationship problems, difficult life changes, or challenges that have left you wondering which way to turn? Perhaps it's time to address the emotional hurts in your life, so you can become the person you were meant to be.

I have been a psychotherapist for over 40 years, and have worked with many people with a wide range of issues and challenges. You are a complicated person who has already tried hard to resolve problems, so offering some easy advice wouldn't be helpful or respectful. I'd like to be a partner in the journey to reach your goals.

Education & Licensure

Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

I have always been interested in serving people who "walk to a different drummer." It is a priority to treat everyone with affirmation and dignity, and to celebrate the attributes that make them unique and valuable. I have considerable respect for the ASD community, since many appear to be thriving based on external observation, but who are often carrying a heavy burden of pain and confusion. My hope is to create a safe place in therapy to begin work toward resolving issues and lessening that burden.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I adamantly believe that everyone is valuable, worthy, and acceptable. Unfortunately, often that's a difficult thing to trust as truth. I intend to create a therapy space where you feel safe; I will actively listen, validate feelings, and affirm strengths, so we can understand and resolve issues that are currently creating emotional pain or distress.
