I live in central Georgia and am a licensed professional counselor carrying passion in my heart to work with individuals on their healing journey towards becoming a better you every day. My aim is to set the pace for a peaceful, authentic, and genuine space for you to feel seen and heard as you learn to grow through what you go through. As your therapeutic guide, I will walk alongside you as we work together to gain understanding of your path of resilience from behind and look forward to unveil the brilliant you that is already inside of you. I am honored and excited to have this opportunity to share in your unique growth like the butterfly from its cocoon.

Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My interest for working with neurodivergent clients began 10 years ago as a teaching assistant at a Montessori school where I worked with autistic children. I learned from that experience that these individuals are very misunderstood, often times mistreated, and simply amazing people who benefit and thrive when someone takes time with them and extends patience and kindness. I learned much more about youth with autism while counseling at a private practice. I was inspired by many of the adult clients who exhibit traits of neurodivergence but were never diagnosed to learn more about how to help these individuals which is what led me to Prosper Health. My goal is to assist individuals with identifying obstacles and challenges, in turn to encourage development of skills and build upon already developed strengths within in an effort to nurture life satisfaction and achieve overall healthy daily functioning.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I utilize a person-centered approach to rediscover the strengths and "gold within" as foundation for building upon personal empowerment, positive language self-talk, self-advocacy skills, personal value system, boundary-setting, and unique personality traits. This integrated approach gives individuals a chance to feel seen, heard, and validated and builds a safe environment to share their stories with healthy vulnerability.
