About
Hello and welcome! I’m Courtney, a Licensed Professional Counselor providing virtual therapy to adults in South Carolina. I believe therapy should be a space where you can show up exactly as you are—without judgment, pressure, or feeling like you need to have everything figured out.My approach to therapy is person-centered, collaborative, and supportive. I enjoy helping clients navigate anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationships, self-esteem, emotional regulation, and those periods of life when you simply feel stuck or overwhelmed. I draw from approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), while tailoring our work to your individual needs, strengths, and goals. As a military spouse, I also understand firsthand the transitions, uncertainty, and changes that can come with military life. Whether you are navigating a major life transition, adjusting to change, strengthening relationships, or simply trying to understand yourself better, my goal is to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to move forward in a way that feels authentic to you
I was drawn to working with neurodivergent adults because I believe our differences can come with incredible strengths, perspectives, and ways of experiencing the world. Too often, neurodivergent individuals are encouraged to focus on what makes life difficult rather than being given the space to understand and appreciate what makes them uniquely themselves.I believe therapy should adapt to the person—not require the person to adapt to therapy. I believe there can be power in the very things that make us different. My goal is to create a space where clients can better understand themselves, recognize and embrace their strengths, develop tools that genuinely work for them, and navigate life in ways that honor who they are.
I approach each client as a whole person rather than a diagnosis or collection of symptoms. I believe meaningful therapy begins with understanding who you are, what matters to you, what you have already overcome, and what you want your life to look like.I focus on creating a collaborative, nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable being themselves. Rather than assuming there is one “right” way to think, communicate, cope, or experience the world, I work with clients to identify their existing strengths and develop strategies that fit their individual needs. My goal is for clients to leave therapy with greater self-understanding, confidence, practical tools, and the freedom to embrace who they are while continuing to grow.
