About
I’m Connie, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (MEd, LCMHC) in North Carolina. I know what it’s like to feel like you’ve used up all your tools. We’ll start right where you are, with no fixing or forcing, and work it out together. Using ACT, we’ll make room for the hard stuff, get unhooked from the thoughts that keep you stuck, and reconnect with what matters most to you. From there, we’ll take small, meaningful steps toward the life you want. I especially love working with neurodivergent adults, including women with ADHD and autism, and I bring warmth, curiosity (and maybe even a little humor) to every session. Therapy with me is a place to land, learn together and grow at your own pace.
For many years, I juggled a lot of roles at once: Air Force service member, military spouse, mom and school counselor. I know what it feels like to keep going on empty and to wonder whether anyone sees the whole of you. Through yoga, somatic work and my own healing, I learned that change starts when we slow down, notice what’s happening, and turn toward ourselves with kindness instead of judgment. That’s why I do this work. I want every client to have a place where she’s truly seen, where her brain and her story make sense, and where she can find her way back to what matters most.
I begin by recognizing what you already bring: your strengths, your values, and the creative ways you’ve found to cope. Many of the folks I work with, especially neurodivergent clients, come in carrying years of messages about what’s “wrong” with them. I want to turn that around. I meet you with compassion and curiosity, and I trust that you’re the expert on your own life. We will make room for the hard parts without letting them define you, and we focus on moving toward what matters most to you. My goal is to help you see yourself more clearly and kindly, and to step more fully into the person you already are.
