About
Hello and welcome! I’m Christy, and I’m so glad you’re here. I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with more than 27 years of experience in behavioral health. I’m licensed in New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts, with telehealth privileges in Florida.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with people across many different stages of life and from many different backgrounds. What continues to motivate me is the opportunity to help people feel understood, supported, and less alone as they navigate challenges in their lives.
I believe that therapy works best when it feels like a genuine partnership. I bring experience, compassion, curiosity, and an open mind to our work together, while recognizing that you are the expert on your own life. My goal is to create a space where you can be yourself without judgment, explore what is getting in the way, recognize your strengths, and find practical ways to move forward.
I look forward to getting to know you and learning what matters most to you.
My interest in working with autistic and neurodivergent clients comes from my belief that people deserve to be understood for who they are, rather than feeling pressured to fit into someone else’s expectations of how they should think, communicate, or navigate the world.
After more than 27 years in behavioral health, I’ve seen how important it is to look beyond a diagnosis or a particular challenge and understand the whole person. I’m especially drawn to working with individuals who may have spent years feeling misunderstood, overwhelmed, or like they needed to change who they were in order to fit in.
I want to provide a space where clients can talk openly about their experiences without judgment and where differences are approached with curiosity, respect, and compassion. My goal is to help clients better understand themselves, recognize their strengths, navigate challenges, and develop practical strategies that support the life they want to live.
I see therapy as a partnership. I’m not here to tell you who you should be—I’m here to listen, learn about your experience, and support you in finding what works best for you.
I bring a strengths-based approach to therapy by starting with curiosity rather than judgment. I want to understand how you experience the world, what has shaped you, and what you already do well before focusing on what may feel difficult.
I believe that the goal of therapy is not to change who you are or make you fit someone else’s expectations. Instead, I want to help you understand yourself more deeply, recognize your strengths, and build on the qualities and skills that are already there. Sometimes the things that have been viewed as weaknesses can also reflect important strengths, such as sensitivity, determination, creativity, deep thinking, loyalty, or the ability to notice things others may miss.
I listen carefully to what you tell me and try to create an environment where you can speak openly without having to mask, perform, or worry about being judged. We can work together to identify what is working for you, what you would like to change, and what supports might make everyday life feel more manageable.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized. I want you to leave therapy feeling not only supported through your challenges, but also more aware of your own abilities, strengths, and potential.
