About

I'm Christine Harris, a late-diagnosed AuDHD (autistic & ADHD) therapist and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). I specialize in working with neurodivergent adults who are tired of masking, feeling misunderstood, burned out from struggling to meet unrealistic standards, or navigating the complex emotions that come with discovering your neurodivergent identity. My work is rooted in creating a space where you don't have to translate yourself to be taken seriously—where your differences aren't deficits, and your authentic self is not only welcome, but celebrated.

Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

I became a therapist because I know what it's like to feel fundamentally out of step with the world—working hard to mask, overachieve, and 'pass' as what I thought I was supposed to be. I spent years wondering why everything felt harder for me, why I held myself to impossible standards just to feel 'good enough.' Then I discovered I was autistic and ADHD—and everything changed. It wasn't that I was broken. It was that I'd been forcing myself to live against my natural neurology, exhausting myself trying to fit into spaces never designed for my brain. This shift from self-criticism to self-understanding transformed how I saw myself and how I wanted to help others. That transformation is the journey I now support my clients in discovering for themselves.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

My work is grounded in the belief that there is nothing defective about neurodivergent brains—what causes suffering is being forced to live in systems and society not designed for it. I support you to reclaim your energy, identity, and self-trust by working with your neurology instead of against it. My approach is neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, and evidence-based—blending clinical expertise with authentic lived experience. In therapy with me, you can bring your whole self and know you'll be met with genuine curiosity, care, and respect. You don't have to perform neurotypicality or defend your experiences. Together, we'll integrate your passions, strengths, and natural ways of being into our work—honoring what makes you uniquely you rather than forcing you into a neurotypical mold.
