About

Hello. My name is Christina Sheppard and I live in South Florida and I am licensed in mental health counseling and have a Florida and international certification in addictions counseling as well. My goal as your therapist is to provide emotional support to help you with your emotional health journey and issues to assist you with self-empowerment and inner peace.

Education & Licensure

I have a Master of Science in counseling from Walden University and I also have my Associates Degree from Santa Fe Community College in psychology and my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

Treatment Approach

What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

I chose this field of wok to be a beacon of hope and inspiration to facilitate growth and resilience by creating a healthy space to discover new ways to grow and thrive. I enjoy working with neurodivergence due to the genuineness and authenticity of this group of wonderful individuals.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I believe valuing each person’s strengths and abilities and identifying challenges and barriers in a solution-focused and empathic manner can assist and facilitate growth and improvement of one’s issues. Being able to reframe the negative and focus on what can be changed are vital tasks in being able to live in the now while learning to thrive and accept the past.
