About
Hello and welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Christina Dawn Nelson, and I’m a licensed Clinical Psychologist (PhD) with a telehealth practice focused on neurodivergent adults. I’m currently licensed in California, Idaho, and Hawaii, and as a digital nomad, I love the flexibility of connecting with you virtually from wherever feels most comfortable and safe for you.
I specialize in comprehensive, neurodiversity-affirming autism assessments for adults—especially women in their thirties and beyond who may have spent years masking their traits, navigating demanding life transitions, or wondering why “adulting” feels so exhausting despite checking all the boxes. Many of my clients come seeking clarity around late-identified autism, emotion regulation challenges, autistic burnout, self-compassion struggles, identity shifts, and the unique pressures of modern life that can lead to hopelessness or overwhelm.
My approach is strengths-based, collaborative, and rooted in curiosity and authenticity. I view the assessment process as a sacred, empowering opportunity—not just for diagnosis, but for deep self-understanding, validation, and discovering personalized rituals and routines that help you move from surviving to truly thriving. I bring warmth, humor, and a light-hearted vibe to create a non-judgmental space where you feel genuinely heard, respected, and supported—even on the heavy days when hope feels hard to hold onto.In a world that often feels burnout-inducing for neurodivergent folks, I’m passionate about helping you actively choose hope, embrace your unique way of being, and uncover the resilience and strengths that have always been there. You’ve got this—and I’m honored to partner with you on this journey toward greater clarity, kindness to yourself, and a life that feels more aligned and fulfilling.
